Lunch! Clam chowder in a loaf of bread!! Don't worry only ate the soup
Glass flowers & garden outside the Space Needle
Another muso, playing some really clean jazz toons outside the Space Needle
Buildings downtown on the way to Pikes Place Market
Busking really pays at Pikes Place Market, all musicians had their own CDs and piles of cash in their cases!! This guy was good, right opposite the fish guys and the golden pig
The fish guys, slinging them about. Very difficult to catch them at it! Cool to see something I actually teach to students!
The golden pig that finances it all
Buildings from the waterfront as i head to Pioneer Square
The famous Pioneer Square, oldest part of Seattle. Problem was that loads of bums and hobos sleeping everywhere! Not the safest place for tourists. Lots of begging, though not aggressive.
This was the best place near Pioneer Square. Emerald City Guitars. They had a 1950s Les Paul for $250,000 and very good shop security!!
I finished my day at the Hard Rock Cafe for a burger and a smoothie, where there was good music on TV and loads of gear signed by various local grunge artists.
I was exhausted with all of the walking I did and managed to pay for all day parking for only $11.
Finally headed for my hotel at Tukwila, Knights Inn, room 117 funnily enough. Ran by some nice Sikhs who had relatives in Birmingham!
