On the road to Mount Rushmore

Finally left Yellowstone behind me on Hwy 14.

Scenery still spectacular through Shoshone National Park

Am at Cody Wyoming, which has something to do with Wild Bill Cody, the cowboy showman who amused Queen Victoria. Driven through the Shoshone mountains which is where Sitting Bull came from.
Hope to make it to Cloud Peak Wilderness tonight, which is just before Sheridan.

Bighorn mountains are spectacular. Pleased decided to drive these twisty roads. No one about at all..

Made it to Bighorn Mountains and found a campsite at Owen Creek.  No attendant, but it was a US National Park site with an envelope system.  I did not have $15 in change, so left $13.

Bighorn Mountains are very old, going back to Devonian geological period.  Some amazing mountains as can be seen from pix
